JAPANESE LANGUAGE FACTS
Japanese is considered one of the most difficult languages to learn, at least for those that speak Romanic or Germanic Languages. Here are some interesting facts that will help you have a more clear understanding of the truth behind such statement.
- Japanese pronunciation is easy to learn, there are barely 48 possible sounds of voice, and these, are made by eleven consonants and five vowels.
- Japanese don’t use articles (a/the) in their language.
- There are no genders accredited to nouns.
- Japanese language doesn’t conjugate its verbs.
- Like gender, number (whether singular or plural) is barely used, and not considered important in many cases.
- Syntax (the order of words in a sentence) is completely free as long as you put the verb at the end. This makes it easy to learn, but sometimes confusing to understand.
Now that you know, it is up to you to stick to your philosophical point of view and see the glass half-empty or half-full now. Good luck!
